While the first of October is recognized by some as “National Pumpkin Spice Day,” those hoping to admire more craftsmanship and flavor in their fall beverage are not always looking to find it on top of a latte.
Despite the deceiving weather with the most recent wave of heat, the fall season is here, which means another kind of celebration — one that craft beer enthusiasts can proudly raise their steins to — Oktoberfest!
On Saturday, Twin Oast Brewing brought the old country Oktoberfest atmosphere to Catawba Island with their second annual Oastoberfest, featuring more than enough craft beer to enjoy with traditional Bavarian food, games and music.
Also helping to capture the Oktoberfest atmosphere were games and activities for both children and adults organized by the Bavarian Sports Club based out of Toledo and live music from the Misty Blues Polka Band.
